My role
As the lead Product Designer for this initiative, I was responsible for driving the product vision from initial concept to developer hand-off. I navigated strict corporate constraints and collaborated directly with stakeholders to align the AI tool's capabilities with enterprise security and usability standards.
The challenge
Integrating advanced Generative AI capabilities into a conservative corporate environment presented a unique set of challenges. The primary hurdle was designing a system that was powerful enough to handle complex data queries, yet intuitive enough not to overwhelm employees who were accustomed to traditional software, all while maintaining strict data privacy.
The solution
I designed a clean, chat-based interface focused on contextual prompts and seamless file management. To flatten the learning curve, I introduced predictive suggestions, clear error-handling states, and a streamlined workflow for accessing deep enterprise data. The interface was intentionally stripped of unnecessary elements to maintain focus on the AI-user dialogue.
The impact
The deployment of the AI assistant drastically optimized internal workflows. The intuitive design led to a rapid adoption rate among employees of 10% within the first month, and reduced the time spent on routine data retrieval and task completion by approximately 25%.
